FC 27 Tactic Codes Discussion
This board is where FC Tactics members share and discuss tactic codes for EA SPORTS FC 27. A tactic code lets you import someone else's formation and settings instead of building them by hand, which saves time and makes it easy to try popular setups. It also makes it easy to copy something that does not suit your team, so this board focuses on sharing codes with context.
When you post a code here, our form asks for the code itself and the formation it uses. Moderators check each post before it appears. We cannot test every code in the game, so treat every code as shared by a member rather than verified by FC Tactics, and report back in the thread if it works or does not.
If you want codes we have collected from named sources with credit and a check date, read the FC 27 Tactic Codes guide. This board is the community side: newer codes, personal tweaks and honest feedback.

How to share a tactic code properly
A code on its own is hard to judge. The most helpful posts explain what the tactic is for. Say which formation it uses, which mode you tested it in, the style it plays, and the type of players it needs. A high-pressing tactic built for fast forwards will feel broken with slow ones, and a reader cannot know that unless you tell them.
If the code is not yours, credit where you got it. Copying a code from a content creator without saying so is unfair to the person who built it and makes it harder for others to find the original explanation. Link the source in your post where you can.
- Paste the code exactly as it appears in game; one wrong character breaks it.
- State the formation and the mode you tested it in.
- Describe the style: possession, counter, high press or balanced.
- Mention any player types it depends on, such as pacy full-backs.
- Credit the original creator if it is not your own tactic.
How to import and check a code
Importing a code in FC 27 is done from the custom tactics area of the game menu, where you can enter a shared code and save it to one of your tactic slots. Menus can move between updates, so if you cannot find the option, check our tactic codes guide, which we keep up to date, or ask in a thread.
Once imported, do not jump straight into an important match. Open the tactic and check that the formation, roles and positions look the way the poster described. Players have reported custom tactics resetting or players swapping positions, so it is worth confirming the setup has saved properly before kick-off. Our tactics reset guide explains the workarounds people use.
Play a few lower-stakes matches first. Squad Battles or friendlies let you see whether the shape suits your players without risking your Rivals rank.
Why a code that works for one player fails for another
The most common complaint on any tactic code thread is 'this doesn't work'. Usually the code is fine; it was built around different players or a different style. A tactic that relies on wingers cutting inside needs players who are comfortable on their stronger foot in that position. A tactic with a very high line needs fast centre-backs. Copying the settings does not copy the squad.
Play style matters too. Some tactics are designed for players who pass patiently and wait for openings; others are built for quick, direct attacks. If you play differently from the tactic's creator, the same settings can feel slow or chaotic. That is why describing the style is so important when you share a code.
Finally, updates can change how a setup feels. When EA releases a gameplay update, a code that felt strong may need adjusting. If you notice a difference after a patch, say so in the thread and link the official patch notes if they mention the change.
Adapting a shared code to your squad
Think of a shared code as a template. Start by keeping the formation and team-wide approach, then look at the roles of the players who matter most. If your striker is better at holding the ball than running in behind, change their role to match. If your defensive midfielder lacks pace, keep them deeper rather than letting them join attacks.
Change one thing at a time and play a couple of matches before changing the next. That way you know which adjustment helped. When you find a version that works, consider posting it as a reply in the original thread with your changes explained, so others with similar squads can benefit.
Reporting results honestly
Feedback is what makes a code board useful. When you try a code, reply with how it went: the mode, roughly what level you are at, and what worked or did not. Avoid simply saying a code is 'broken' or 'overpowered'. 'Strong going forward but left gaps on the right when the full-back pushed up' helps the creator and everyone else.
Please do not post claims you cannot back up, such as guaranteed win rates or 'secret' codes. FC 27 has no official cheat codes, and posts promising them will be removed. Tactic codes are simply shared tactic setups.
Board rules for code posts
Only post tactic codes, not anything that modifies the game, unlocks content or breaks EA's terms. Do not post account details, coin selling or boosting offers. Keep criticism about the tactic, not the person. Every post is checked by a moderator first, so it may take a little while to appear.
Moderators may edit or reject posts where the code is missing, clearly incomplete or copied without credit. That keeps the board reliable for people who rely on it.
Where to go next
The FC 27 Tactic Codes guide lists codes collected from named sources with credit links and the date we checked them. Each formation page shows the matching codes we have, along with roles and weaknesses. The custom tactics guide shows how to build your own setup, and the tactics database lets you browse and filter setups by formation and style.
When you have a setup worth sharing, come back here and post it with the details above.
Organising codes by formation and style
To keep the board easy to browse, please pick the formation field when you post, and put the style in the title, for example '4-2-3-1 counter attack code for pacy wingers'. That makes threads easier to find for people searching for a particular shape, and lets moderators spot duplicates. If a code for the same formation already exists, consider replying in that thread with your version rather than starting a new one.
Titles that promise results, such as 'unbeatable' or 'guaranteed wins', will be edited. Describe what the tactic does instead. Honest titles attract the players the tactic actually suits, which leads to better feedback and better tweaks.
Checking a code against your own players
Before you commit to a new code, compare its roles with your squad. Go through each position and ask whether your player can do the job described. A role that asks a full-back to attack constantly needs stamina and pace; a role that asks a striker to drop deep needs good passing and ball control. If two or three positions do not suit your players, either change those roles or look for a different code.
Also consider the formation changes the code makes during a match. Some shared tactics are designed to be used together, with one setup for attacking and another for defending. If the poster mentions a pair of tactics, import both and practise switching between them.
A sensible habit is to keep your previous main tactic saved in another slot. If a new code does not work after a few matches, you can switch back immediately instead of trying to remember your old settings.
Frequently asked questions
What should I do if a code stops working after an update?
Reply in the thread with the date, your console and what changed. Check the official EA patch notes, then try adjusting one setting at a time, starting with the roles of your most important players, before deciding the code no longer suits you.
Where can I find codes with a named source?
Our FC 27 Tactic Codes guide lists codes collected from named creators, each with a credit link and the date we checked it. Formation pages show the matching codes too.
Are codes on this board tested by FC Tactics?
No. Members share them and moderators check the post, but we cannot test every code in game. Read the replies to see how it worked for others.
Are there secret cheat codes for FC 27?
No. FC 27 has no official cheat codes. Tactic codes are shared tactic setups you import into the game.
Why does an imported code look different?
Check the tactic saved properly and that positions did not swap. Players have reported tactics resetting; see our reset guide for workarounds.
Can I post someone else's code?
Yes, as long as you credit and link the original creator.
