FC 27 Ultimate Team Discussion
This board is for everything in FC 27 Ultimate Team: building squads, getting chemistry right, working through Division Rivals and Champions, planning Evolutions and choosing tactics that suit the players you actually own. Ultimate Team changes quickly through the season, so discussion is often more current than any guide can be.
Every post is checked by a moderator before it appears, which keeps out coin sellers, account traders and spam. You can read every approved thread without signing in; posting needs a free account.
FC Tactics is an independent fan site. Advice here comes from members and is their opinion. For the bigger picture, read our full Ultimate Team tactics guide, which covers squad building, formations and in-game management in depth.

Good topics for the Ultimate Team board
Ultimate Team questions are most useful when they include context. Mention your budget or the type of players you have, which modes you play most and what you are trying to achieve, whether that is a higher Rivals division, a better Champions record or simply a team that is more fun to play with.
- Squad reviews: share your formation and key players and ask for improvements.
- Chemistry questions: how to fit a player you love into your team.
- Mode advice: approaches for Rivals, Champions qualification and Squad Battles.
- Evolutions: which players are worth upgrading and why.
- Tactics for your squad: matching roles to the players you own.
Asking for a squad review
Squad review threads are popular because they get specific help. To make yours useful, list your formation and the players in each position, or at least the positions you are unsure about. Say what is going wrong: maybe you concede from crosses, maybe you cannot keep the ball in midfield, maybe your striker misses chances.
Remember that the most expensive player is not always the right fit. A player's pace, stamina, preferred foot, height and PlayStyles all affect how well they suit a role. Members often suggest cheaper players who fit your tactic better than a big-name signing. Our hidden attributes guide explains some of the less obvious things to look at.
Please do not post screenshots that show your account name or any personal details. A list of positions and players is enough.
Chemistry and squad building basics
Chemistry rewards players who share a club, league or nation, and players need to be in a suitable position to contribute. A common beginner mistake is building a team of individually strong players with weak links between them. Many members plan the spine of the team first, the centre-backs, defensive midfield and striker, and then fill the wide positions with players who link up.
It is also worth thinking about how your squad fits your tactic. A high press needs players with stamina and work rate. A counter-attacking setup needs pace up front. Building the squad and the tactic together usually beats picking the best players and then hunting for a formation.
Division Rivals and Champions
Competitive modes reward consistency. Members often recommend sticking with one main formation and one backup rather than changing every match, because you learn exactly how your players move. Prepare an attacking and a defensive version of your tactic so you can react to the score without editing under pressure.
Mental approach matters too. Taking a short break after a frustrating loss, reviewing what went wrong rather than blaming the game, and focusing on defending well are tips that come up again and again. Share your own routines here; they help other players more than you might expect.
Rewards, qualification rules and schedules can change during the season. When discussing them, link to EA's official announcements so readers can check the details.
Evolutions and upgrades
Evolutions let you upgrade eligible players by completing objectives. Because they take time, it is worth asking whether a player will actually fit your team after the upgrade. Threads comparing Evolution choices are useful when they explain the reasoning: which attributes improve, which role the player will play and whether the upgrade fills a real weakness.
Requirements and available Evolutions change through the season, so mention the date or the specific Evolution when you post. Avoid speculation presented as fact; if you are guessing about future content, say so.
Spending, safety and board rules
Ultimate Team includes optional spending, and conversations about packs and value come up often. Be respectful of other people's choices and keep discussion about the game rather than pressuring anyone to spend. If you are worried about how much you or someone else is spending, the in-game and console spending controls are worth using.
Never share your account login, email or password, and never trust anyone offering coins, cheap points or account services. Buying or selling coins and accounts breaks EA's terms and can get accounts banned. Posts offering these will be rejected, and repeated attempts will lead to removal.
Every post is checked by a moderator before it appears, so please be patient if yours takes a while to show.

The best formations page suggests shapes by play style, the tactic codes guide lists credited codes, and the manual defending guide helps with one of the biggest skills in competitive play.
When you have learned something that helped your team, come back and share it. Experience from real matches is exactly what this board is for.
Building a team that suits your tactic
One of the best questions you can ask on this board is 'what type of player does my tactic need in each position?' rather than 'who is the best player?'. Write down what each role is asked to do, then look for players whose attributes match. A target-man striker needs strength and heading; a pressing forward needs stamina, pace and aggression. A ball-playing centre-back needs good passing, while a stopper needs strength and defensive awareness.
This approach often saves coins, because players who fit a role well are not always the most popular cards. Members regularly share bargain picks that work in particular systems, and those threads tend to be some of the most useful on the board. If you share one, explain why the player fits rather than just posting a name.
Remember that preferred foot and weak foot matter, especially for wide players. A winger who cuts inside onto his stronger foot plays very differently from one who stays wide to cross. Match the player to what the role asks.
Planning your week in Ultimate Team
Ultimate Team has regular rhythms: weekly competitive modes, new objectives and frequent content drops. Many members find it helpful to plan which modes they will play each week so they do not run out of time or burn out. Threads where people share their routines, such as when they play Rivals, how they approach Champions and how they work through objectives, are useful for newer players.
Keep in mind that schedules and rewards can change. When you post about timings or rewards, include a link to EA's official announcement or the in-game information so readers can check. If you are not sure, say so rather than guessing.
Above all, the game should be fun. If a mode is causing frustration, it is worth talking about it here; other players have usually been through the same thing and can suggest a different approach.
Frequently asked questions
How long does moderation take?
Moderators review posts as soon as they can, usually within a day. Your thread is saved in the queue while it waits, so there is no need to post it again. Duplicate posts slow the queue down for everyone.
Which formation should I use in Ultimate Team?
Pick a shape that suits the players you already own and the way you like to attack. Our best formations page suggests options by play style, and members here can help you match a formation to your squad if you list your players by position.
How do I protect my account?
Never share your login details, turn on two-factor authentication with EA, and ignore anyone offering coins, points or account services. Report suspicious messages to a moderator.
Can I ask about pack value here?
Yes, but keep it respectful and remember spending is optional. Discussion should never pressure anyone to buy packs or points, and posts doing so will be removed by moderators.
Can I sell or buy coins here?
No. Coin and account trading breaks EA's terms and is not allowed on FC Tactics.
How do I get my squad reviewed?
Start a thread on this board listing your formation, players by position and what is going wrong. Members can then suggest changes.
Is this official EA Ultimate Team advice?
No. FC Tactics is an independent fan site. For rules and rewards, check EA's official announcements.
Do I need an account to read threads?
No. Anyone can read approved discussions. You only need a free account to post or reply.
